Lifestyle Instagram Accounts You Must Follow
From home decor inspiration to the best little details around the house, I am constantly impressed by House Beautiful. I like that the account showcases a variety of styles so there's something there for everyone. From the preppy to the modern to the funky and cool, I can find something for anyone - especially when I'm working with a new bride and need to try and capture their taste.
There are some Instagram accounts that push me towards my more irresponsible impulses, like travel or expensive home decorations or great food. The Home Edit is one of the more virtuous accounts because it inspires me to be organized and clean! (My husband would say I am already pretty OCD about this sort of thing!) They do a great job of posting visually appealing (it is Instagram after all) photos of homes that are impeccably clean and fresh. Not to mention it has been known to give me closet envy more times than one.
Speaking of my travel lust, I am obsessed with Conde Nast Traveler. Every time I see a photo it reminds me either of some amazing place I am dying to go to or a great trip I wish I could be reliving. They do better than some other travel accounts because they will often post less typical photos of these amazing places and I always appreciate getting a new look at Paris, Venice or Bali.
Some see it as a guidebook on life, so its no wonder that I am impressed with the Town and Country Instagram. They really eschew more than just beautiful photos, but really a lifestyle. From travel to food to home decor, when you scroll through the Town and Country account you get a great sense for what they're about. How much do you love that "living wall" around the front door in the bottom left photo?
It would be easy for Elle Decor to post photos of beautiful homes over and over and call it a day. But instead they curate a beautiful feed of architecture, travel, and yes decor. The variety is inspiring but also beautifully balanced and always of supremely high quality. Its great to see magazines making the foray into Instagram because its an easy way for me to see beautiful content and inspiration on the go and when I might not have time to sit down with a magazine.
Instagram can really be a rabbit hole. It can also quickly devolve into friends' babies and brunch pictures, so I hope these accounts will add to your already beautiful Instagram feed or insert a little style and excitement into the scrolling, however the case may be!
